Bittersweet | Tampa Children's photographer

This morning I met up with one of my oldest and dearest friends and her adorable kids at Cracker Barrel to have breakfast and say "goodbye".  She's moving to Texas!  Sniff sniff.  We met back in 1991 at the GAP in Tampa Bay mall.  I had just moved to Tampa to continue my college education at USF.  She was also in college at USF.  We both LOVED baseball and we clicked!  We did a lot together.  She was one of my go to girls!  Of course after college and as time went on, we both moved on in life still keeping in touch.  She's one of those friends that if you don't talk to in a long time, you can pick back up like it was yesterday. And even though we don't see each other often b/c of distance (she is in Lakeland, me in South Tampa) and kids, I will miss her terribly!  So for the title of this blog post.... bittersweet... as I am sad that she is leaving but I am also so happy for her and her family!  They are all going to experience a new chapter in their life and I couldn't be more excited for them!

I HEART FACES challenge | Let's hear it for the boys

Wow!  It's been a super long time since I have entered the I heart faces challenge.  So when I saw it was all about boys.... Meet Miss P | Tampa newborn Photographer

A little sneaky peeky for mom from our session this morning!  Sweet Miss P had no intentions of sleeping for me!  Of course!

This was an awesome session!  I had so much fun with these three and their mom.  A mom who could be your best friend... a mom who appreciates the art of photography.   The weather was perfect.  Honestly, it kept my mind off of the awful news that I had received hours earlier that my best friend from HS had passed away after multiple cancers and liver failure.  I was just devastated, but got myself together and did it!  I will miss her terribly... but know she's pain free and in a better place.  Make sure you HUG the ones you love tight and slow down your life to enjoy them.  LIFE can be taken away in an instant!

The D family | Tampa family photographer

Back in April I had a little contest on my Facebook page.  All you had to do was comment and I would randomly pick the winner.  I wrote all the names of the entries down on a paper, had my daughter pick from a hat and the D family were the lucky winners! 

We met last evening down in Ybor City.  Such a sweet family!  And I loved their patriotic coordinated outfits!  Here are a few sneak peeks from the session.

Doing what I love to do...

take pictures!  I'm so glad my kids humor me!  We got some much needed rain today and after it passed it continued to stay cloudy.  Once Payne woke from his nap I took the kids out to Davis Island to snap a few shots and to see where would be a good place for my clients next week.   We were only out there for about 15 minutes before the next round or rain came through.
