I | FACES WEEK 30 | PURPLE

Here's an oldy but a favorite of my daughter!  I knew I would use it for this weeks theme!  I got the idea of the picture in a polaroid  from a blog that I "stalk".  I "stalk"so many... so if I could remember I would definitely give it (the blog) credit!  Once you are done here... check out the other entries!

As I am finishing up my editing of sweet baby B's pictures, I just had to share this one.  I am not big on B&W but this was one was so sweet.

It's baby time... last week it was sweet baby G, today I got to meet beautiful baby B, and this week it will be baby A.  So, back in April I had the honor of photographing Miss A to mark her 1 year birthday.  Yesterday I got to meet her beautiful baby brother Mr. B.  The love she has for him is so adorable!  I spent a couple of hours at the house capturing the two of them.

Here is Miss A.  She had a fun time playing on the bed.



How stinkin cute is his room?  I was so in love with the mural above his bed.  His daddy is a big golfer.  I honestly can't believe that I didn't think of this for our son, Payne, who we named after Payne Stewart. So I had to get sweet baby B and the mural in a shot!

I | FACES WEEK 29 | OVER MY HEAD

This weeks challenge over at I | faces.... OVER MY HEAD!  When I saw this category I knew exactly which picture I would submit.  I live in Florida and used to go to the beach ALL of the time BK (before kids)... but when I had my son and getting to know his "boy" personality... I knew it would just be chaos, so I never took him.  This was taken about a year ago and it was his first trip.  He was 15 months old and loved it.  I have this blown up and hanging in our house.  I just loved his expression!  You could tell he was having so much fun.  After you leave me some love, click on over to I heart faces and see the other entries!

What a wonderful morning I had.  I had the honor of photographing this beautiful family at their house.  Big brother M did an AWESOME job (and so did Dad) and smiled beautifully.  Sweet baby G... well she was sooo sweet!  Can you say baby fever?  Enjoy these teasers while I get the others edited!

Raving review of Nicole V's actions

When I first started "getting into" photography I stumbled upon these basic yet much needed photo fix actions.  Here are the actions I used.
1. exposure adjust
2. selective skin soft (I use this ALL of the time!!!)
3. eye pop
4. rounded corners
And Viola!

I ABSOLUTELY love these actions!  A staple for sure!

Nicole V's workshop

I got to "shoot" one of my favorite families ever.  The oldest, Miss H, happens to be Brooke's best friend.  Their mom, Cheri, suggested downtown St. Pete.  We did a drive through during the week to make sure where we wanted to go.  I LOVED it and I hope my future clients like it too!  Here's a sneak peek!  Oh... and the marshmellows... their bribe to look at the camera!  :)

So yesterday morning I received a call from the sweetest mother of one of my best clients ever.  Her grandson's were here in town...only for 2 days... she knew it was sooo last minute... but did I have time to take pictures?  In her message she said, "It can't hurt to ask" and you know what... it can't.  Miss Linda had called me back in February asking me if I would be interested but she wasn't sure when they would be here.  I'm so glad she called!  We met down in Ybor City to get some shots before their car ride back to Atlanta.   Check out these handsome guys!  And a big thanks to my girl Lisa for watching my son Payne for me so I was able to get this done for the sweetest woman ever!

And I have to include a picture with a post...  last Thursday I took my two kids on a trolley ride through Ybor City, Channelside and downtown.  Brooke had done this several times and I had taken Payne last year, but this time he got it.  He was so super excited!  He sat still through the whole ride and said "trolley ride" about 30 times.

Happy 4th

Rain, rain go away! It rained ALL DAY!!!!! Boo.... so I did the next "American" thing to do... SHOPPING! I took the kids to the mall. Kevin had a golf tournament over in Orlando today so it was just the 3 of us. We lunched at Olive Garden (Brooke's request) and then went for a carousel ride at the mall. The rain stopped for about an hour... enough time to get my pictures in at a park by the water. I should have taken a picture of the sky behind me. Quite ominous. Took enough shots and high tailed it out of there before it rained yet again. Brooke was so bummed because she wanted to see the fireworks. By the time they were supposed to start it just stopped raining so we're not sure if they still had them downtown. There's always next year!

Hope everyone had a fun, sunny 4th.

Would you believe me if I told you this was the last shot I took.... they were so uncooperative. It took a couple of lollipops sticking out from behind my ears to get them to both smile and look at the camera at the same time!
